In response to local requests, the City of London Corporation published proposals to amend the current operating hours of the pedestrian zone at Devonshire Row in Bishopsgate.
The aim is to better support the heavy pedestrian footfall during the working week down what is a very narrow side street, often filled to the brim with those enjoying our famed local hospitality.
I can report that a public consultation for the new Traffic Management Order has run for the past 6 weeks and now completed. No objections at all to this scheme, which will revise operating hours to 8:00am to 9:00pm Monday to Friday, were received. Therefore, they will come into effect on 7th April 2026.
The City of London Corporation will be installing updated signage to ensure all road users understand the new timings.
