Earth Day: Epping Forest Major Rewilding Project

This Earth Day, we’re sharing a behind-the-scenes look at a major rewilding project in Epping Forest. 🌿

Over the past few months, we’ve been transforming 73 hectares of former farmland at Copped Hall into flower-rich grassland. We’ve sown almost 20 native species to help restore biodiversity, improve soil health, and lock in more carbon to help combat climate change.

This is just one part of our Climate Action Strategy, which commits us to achieving net zero carbon emissions in our own operations by 2027.

It also gives a glimpse into how we manage over 11,000 acres of open space across London and southeast England — protecting nature and for people to enjoy.
