The City of London Corporation’s Highways team have confirmed that a well-used Bishopsgate underpass has reopened to the public this week.
The walkway which can be found behind the stairs and escalators at the Bishopsgate exit of Liverpool Street Station by WH Smiths leads passengers out onto Bishopsgate next to the Tesco Express store and avoids the need to cross the busy road..
The underpass had been closed due to mechanical and diagnostic issues, which required a collaborative maintenance effort to fix.
