Queen’s Green Canopy ‘Tree of Trees’ Planted in recognition of HM Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee

Earlier this year, Burnham Beeches was honoured to receive one of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee ‘Tree of Trees’, which was displayed outside Buckingham Palace during the jubilee celebrations.

Today, together with Members of the Epping Forest and Commons Committee, the Superintendent for the Commons and the Head Ranger of Burnham Beeches, we planted this tree in a prominent spot outside at our office in Buckinghamshire, for future visitors to reflect upon.

In a letter from Windsor Castle, our late Queen wrote: “I hope your Jubilee trees flourish and grow for many years to come, for future generations to enjoy”.

I believe our late Queen will be remembered in the history books primarily for her devotion to duty and public service. What better memorial for staff to reflect upon as they come to work each day?
