Bishopsgate: Railway 200 free exhibition at London Liverpool Street Station

Take inspiration from the past, present and future of the railway at Liverpool Street’s new exhibition space, created by Network Rail as part of the nationwide celebration of 200 years of train travel. You’ll find the exhibitions on the upper level, next to Leon.

There’s something for passengers and station visitors of all ages:

* Lens on the Line: a photography exhibition for Railway 200. The first ever Landscape Photographer of the Year display to be dedicated to the railway. Its 17 stunning images have been selected from previous years of the competition.
* An exhibition on the history of Liverpool Street. Panels telling the story of the station’s history, including the former Bishopsgate and Broad Street stations, the building of platforms 11-18, air raids during the World Wars, Liverpool Street’s role in the remarkable Kindertransport rescue mission and redevelopment in the 1980s and 90s.
* Fun, photos and the chance to win a prize. Seaside-style cut-out boards inspiring the next generation of young people to put themselves in the frame for a future railway career. You can win a station retail voucher by posing with the boards, taking a photo and tagging @networkraileastern on Instagram.

Come and celebrate this momentous railway occasion. Why not pop in for a few minutes if you’re nearby, or if you’re waiting for a train?
