Today, the City of London Corporation has launched “The Future of Financial and Professional Services Investment in the UK: A Strategic Blueprint for a Financial Services Investment Hub and Concierge Service“.
Financial and professional services foreign direct investment (FDI) is a key driver of growth across the economy. But competition is intensifying: the UK has lost 4% market share over recent years whilst other key financial centres achieved accelerated growth.
The City of London Corporation is proposing a new approach to financial services investment attraction. This investor-centric model could drive up to £10bn in additional investment by 2030.
The recommendations will build a leading global offer, based on best-in-class international models, and aligned to investor expectations and future needs.
